Blogtober #6 – Discount Deals, A Cheeky Snog & Petals IRL

Alright my luvvers!

It was student discount night at Bluewater shopping centre tonight which just so happens to be one of my favourite places in the world. It’s got legit everything that makes me happy under one roof. All of the restaurants I love to eat at, all of the shops you could possibly need and it’s just proper lush to look at and walk around, especially as it’s getting closer to Christmas. Although I’m not a student, I was going with two wonderful people who were both students so I was able to casually piggy-back onto the discount train and cash in on all of the deals and freebies on offer!

One of the freebies that I took full advantage of was a free umbrella, and all I had to do to get my hands on it was enjoy a snog! If you’ve never had one before, it’s a yoghurt that can be one of a variety of flavours with a fruity or sweet topping added to it. It’s all very healthy and positively lovely on the tongue and if you got a classic with two toppings, you bagged a free umbrella. What a steal! I also used the student discount mega saving to grab myself yet another tartan flannel shirt, this time in a deep blue, from Urban Outfitters where I was also persuaded to have my photo taken in a photo booth. In all fairness, it didn’t take a lot to twist my arm but a little piece of advice for photo booth posing; PLAN PLAN PLAN! Otherwise, you’ll end up looking like a bit of a muppet.

I finally got to meet Sophie (@petalsofperfect on Twitter) in real life for the first time which was awesome! She’s hysterical, rude (but in the best way) and it was an absolute pleasure. Naturally, we took Snapchat pictures with filters on because we wouldn’t be your typical bloggers if we didn’t. Overall it was a riot of a night and I got to meet Sophie’s friend, Kate, who was equally hilarious and drove us there and dropped me home, so big thanks to her too!

Lastly, I was able to get myself a notepad so I can write down all the ideas that I have and keep them in one place, rather than them all being distributed across various apps and notes on my phone and MacBook.

Overall, it was a great day! I hope yours was too, and as always, take care of yourselves!

Adios amigos, Rich
